Background:

Each year, various City Departments need to purchase non-capital computer hardware, software, and related items to support the City’s technical operations. There are four main vendors that provide the necessary selection of compatible technology product solutions and related services to meet the City’s requirements: Carahsoft Technology Corp., CDW Government LLC, SHI International Corp., and Insight Public Sector, Inc. This agenda item addresses Insight Public Sector, Inc; Cooperative Agreements for the other vendors will be presented under separate agenda items at future City Commission Meeting.

After competitive procurement, OMNIA Partners, Public Sector through lead agency, Cobb County, Georgia awarded Contract No. 23-6692-03 for the purchase of Technology Product Solutions and Related Services to Insight Public Sector, Inc. The State of Florida executed Participating Addendum Agreement No. 43210000-23-OMNIA-ACS to utilize this Contract with terms and conditions that are favorable to Florida agencies. This agreement offers the best overall supplier government pricing for a wide range of products, by combining the cooperative purchasing power of many governmental agencies Statewide. The Master Contract will be effective until April 30, 2028.

Since 2018, the City of Sunrise has made 74 purchases from Insight Public Sector, Inc. Performance has been favorable, with work completed on schedule and within budget. The City's total annual estimated spend is $400,000.00 from Insight Public Sector, Inc.

City Commission approval is needed to enter into Cooperative Agreement No. 26-32-07-HR between the City of Sunrise and Insight Public Sector, Inc. for technology product solutions and related services, as needed.

Since these purchases will be made using an existing governmental cooperative contract, the City's formal bidding procedures are waived pursuant to Section 5-173(c)(4) of the Code of the City of Sunrise, Florida.
