The City provides public high-speed Wi-Fi at various City locations to support families, students, and the community with reliable internet access while visiting a City facility. Sustaining this service requires ongoing operational support, including software licensing, cloud management subscriptions, manufacturer support and maintenance agreements, security service subscriptions, network monitoring, and as-needed repair and replacement of equipment. These services keep the City's public Wi-Fi network secure, supported, and available, and protect the City's investment in existing infrastructure.

Following a competitive solicitation, the State of Montana, serving as Lead Entity for the RFxPremier Data Communications cooperative portfolio, awarded a Master Agreement to Cisco Systems, Inc. under Contract No. SPSD26-0563LS_CIS. The City will purchase under this Master Agreement through Acordis International Corp., an authorized Cisco reseller. The Master Agreement term ends September 30, 2033, with renewal options available through September 30, 2036.

The IT Department evaluated available procurement options and determined that acquiring these products, support agreements, and services from Acordis International Corp. under this Master Agreement is the most advantageous approach for the City, as it maintains compatibility with the City's existing public Wi-Fi infrastructure.

Acordis International Corp. currently supports public Wi-Fi deployments at the Sunrise Sportsplex, City Park, Village Beach Club, Roarke Hall, and the Sunrise Amphitheatre. Performance has been favorable, with work completed on schedule and within budget.

City Commission approval is requested to enter into Cooperative Agreement No. 26-38-08-HR between the City of Sunrise and Acordis International Corp. to authorize the purchase of Wi-Fi and network infrastructure term licenses, support and maintenance agreements, and related services, as needed.

Since these purchases will be made using an existing governmental cooperative contract, the City's formal bidding procedures are waived pursuant to Section 5-173(c)(4) of the Code of the City of Sunrise, Florida.
