Commission discussion and/or action re: Second Reading of an Ordinance of the City of Sunrise, Florida, Amending Fiscal Year 2025/2026 Budget Ordinance No. 720; Amending the General Fund (001), the 1 Penny Surtax Fund (181) and the Stormwater Fund (444); providing for conflict; providing for severability; and providing an effective date. This item amends the FY 2025/2026 Budget as follows:

General Fund 001
A: This item recognizes the appropriation of Florida Department of Health Emergency Medical Services (EMS) grant funding in the amount of $9,600, as presented at the City Commission meeting on April 28, 2026, and transfers funding to the appropriate account to support the purchase of specialized software for existing cardiac monitors.

A: This item recognizes the appropriation of Florida Department of Health Financial Assistance post-overdose Co-Responder program funding in the amount of $62,000, as approved at the City Commission meeting on April 14, 2026, and transfers funding to the appropriate account to support personnel costs related to the new Social Worker position, also approved at the City Commission meeting on April 14, 2026.

B: This item recognizes the appropriation of fund balance in the amount of $235,000, and transfers funding to the appropriate accounts to support the expenses associated with the contractual services needed to update the electrical infrastructure for the installation of the new lightning detection system, and to support the expenses associated with the repair and maintenance services needed for the repairs to the Sportsplex shade structure infrastructure.

1 Penny Surtax Fund 181
C: This item recognizes the appropriation of Transportation Surtax funding in the amount of $1,389,740 as approved at the City Commission meeting on April 14, 2026 and transfers funding to the appropriate account to support the milling and resurfacing of streets related to the East Sunrise Asphalt Renewal project.

Stormwater Fund 444
D: This item recognizes the appropriation of Broward County Transportation Surtax System interlocal agreement funding in the amount of $1,125,000 approved at the City Commission meeting on April 14, 2026 and transfers funding to the appropriate account to support construction expenses of Project 006331 - Sunset Strip Drainage Improvements.
