Background:

The Commission typically meets on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month for their regular monthly meetings. This resolution changes the second regular meeting for the month of September from September 22, 2026 to September 23, 2026 at 5:00 p.m.

 

The City is unable to have the 2nd Public Hearing for the Budget on the City Commission's regular meeting date of September 22, 2026 since Broward County Government has already selected that date for their public hearing.  Changing the date for this meeting to September 23rd allows the City Commission to have the 2nd Public Hearing for the Budget on the same evening as their regular City Commission meeting.
