Background:

The City puts on an annual Holiday Display on the City's municipal campus in the month of December.  The holiday items exhibited include: a holiday tree, a Menorah display, a Kwanza display, a Crescent Moon & Star display, and decorations such as trees wrapped in lights, toy soldiers that flank the campus entrance, and decorations on and around the electronic marquee sign.

 

At the March 24, 2026 City Commission meeting, there was a discussion regarding adding a nativity scene to the annual Holiday Display. The Commission Office prepared the attached survey of Broward municipalities with religious and/or secular holiday displays.
