A Resolution of the City of Sunrise, Florida, approving a “Standard Contract between the City of Sunrise and Cormac Group, LLP” for Governmental Relations Services; authorizing the City Manager to renew the agreement annually; and providing an effective date. City Manager Richard Salamon.  

The City requires the services of a qualified firm to provide federal lobbyist services to represent the City's interests before federal governmental entities. Staff has met with the Cormac Group, LLP and is pleased with the service proposal and the firm's proven track record over the last several years. 

Staff is requesting that the City Commission approve a contract for an initial term of six months at the all inclusive rate of $5,000 per month with an option for the City Manager to renew for two additional one year terms at the all inclusive rate of $5,000 per month.

Because this purchase is for governmental relations, City staff is requesting that the City Commission waive the City’s formal bidding procedures pursuant to Section 5-173(c)(6) of the Code of the City of Sunrise, Florida.
