| Background:
The City's Police Department Road Patrol Unit currently consists of six (6) motor officers that help ensure traffic safety within the City. The Police Chief finds that it is in the best interest of the City to add a seventh (7) motor officer to enhance traffic safety, creating the need for an additional motorcycle.
On February 27, 2018 the City Commission awarded Rossmeyer Daytona Motorcycles of, Inc. a "Motorcycle Lease Agreement" for six (6) 2018 FLHP Road King Police motorcycles. This First Amendment to the current lease agreement allows the City to add a new motorcycle to the lease under the same term and conditions. The price proposal to lease the additional motorcycle is $600.00 per month. |
