Background:

At the April 26, 2016 City Commission Meeting, staff was directed to amend the Leisure Services Department’s Schedule of fees to suspend the transportation fees listed below for a period of one (1) year, during which time a ridership analysis would be performed.

 

- Medical Transportation fees of $3.00 roundtrip, including Wellness Shuttle fees;

 

- Minibus Transportation fees of $0.50/one-way, including bus route fees, recreation shuttle fees to Senior Center, and Broward school volunteer shuttle fees; and

 

- Senior Trips (fee added to trip cost) ($5.00 Senior Center Members/$7 Non-Members) for transportation to the City of Sunrise Municipal Complex.

 

The Senior Trip Transportation Fee for destinations off municipal campus will remain as adopted by Ordinance 555 (Senior Trip Transportation Fee $5 Senior Center Members / $7 Non-Members).
