Background:

The City Commission approved the Teacher of the Month Program to run from September through June of each school year, to recognize outstanding City of Sunrise school teachers.  The principal from each Sunrise school selects a teacher that represents the qualities sought for a Teacher of the Month for the City of Sunrise.

 

Linda Trivier from Horizon Elementary School has been selected as the Teacher of the Month for May 2016.  In recognition of her efforts to make a difference in the lives of the children of Sunrise, she will receive the Teacher of the Month award at a City Commission meeting and a $50 gift card.
