| Background:
This is to recognize retired Sunrise Fire Rescue Members Battalion Chief Christopher Sorrentino, Captain Joseph Sorrentino and the late Captain Christopher Benemio. They were deployed with Florida Task Fore II (FL-TF2) in response to the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. This year marks the 25th Anniversary of their courageous efforts.
Their courage, professionalism and commitment to service brought distinction to themselves, the Sunrise Fire Rescue Department and the City of Sunrise.
