A Resolution of the City of Sunrise, Florida, appointing an Ex-Officio High School Student to the Sustainability Advisory Board for a term through June 30, 2027; and providing an effective date. City Manager Mark Lubelski. Felicia M. Bravo, City Clerk.

In accordance with City Code Section 2-250.9(b), members of the Sustainability Advisory Board are appointed and removed by resolution of the City Commission. Sanisa Osborne was appointed in August 2025 to serve as the Ex-Officio High School Student Member. As Ms. Osborne graduated from high school in June 2026, she is no longer eligible to serve in this role.

Two eligible students, Carly Moussignac and Rolando Tomasini, submitted applications to serve on the Board. Both Ms. Moussignac and Mr. Tomasini began their senior year of high school in August 2026 and meet the criteria for appointment. Ms. Moussignac is a resident of the City of Sunrise and attends Piper High School, and Mr. Tomasini is a resident of the City of Plantation and attends Western High School. The selected student would serve the remainder of the current term, which expires on December 31, 2026.

Because the selected applicant will remain a high school senior through the 2026–2027 school year, it is recommended that the appointment extend through June 30, 2027. This would allow the student to serve through graduation without requiring reappointment at the conclusion of the current term in December 2026.
