On July 14, 2026, the Sunrise City Commission adopted Resolution No. 26-126 accepting a proposed millage rate, scheduling a first public hearing to consider the proposed millage rate and a tentative budget, and scheduling a second public hearing to adopt the final millage rate and budget for the 2026/2027 fiscal year. Section 5 of Resolution No. 26-126 provided September 22, 2026, as the date of the second public hearing. However, the actual date of the second public hearing is September 23, 2026, and the date provided in Section 5 of Resolution No. 26-126 is the result of a scrivener's error.

The attached Resolution corrects the date of the second public hearing. The City has not advertised the date of the second public hearing yet as state law requires that advertisement of the second public hearing occur after the first public hearing, which is scheduled on September 14, 2026. Accordingly, all advertising and public notice for the second public hearing to adopt the final millage rate and budget for the 2026/2027 year will provide the September 23, 2026 date.
