| Background:
This is a settlement related to a City workers' compensation claim. The Claimant sustained compensable on-the-job injury on December 15, 2025 (claim# 1319395). Staff and the City's workers' compensation counsel are recommending the City Commission approve a workers’ compensation settlement in the amount of One Hundred Seventy-Five thousand dollars ($175,000.00) to be paid to claimant to settle all liabilities and verified claims including but not limited to all claims for any past and future medical expenses, all lost wages, all claimant's attorney's fees, and all lien and release costs related to Claim No. 1319395.
Staff recommend the City Commission approve the settlement and authorize the City's workers' compensation counsel and Risk Manager are authorized to finalize and execute all related documents for this settlement.
