On February 24, 2026, via Resolution No. 26-34, the City Commission awarded Bid No. 26-13-11-HR for Swimming Pool Chemicals to various vendors, including Commercial Energy Specialists, LLC, for Item Number 15 - Pulsar Chlorine Briquettes.

On April 10, 2026, Commercial Energy Specialists, LLC was acquired by Heritage Pool Supply Group, Inc. Due to this change in ownership, Heritage Pool Supply Group, Inc. dba Commercial Energy Specialists has requested that the City consent to Heritage Pool Supply Group, Inc.'s assumption of Commercial Energy Specialists, LLC's contractual obligations.

Staff is requesting the City Commission approve Heritage Pool Supply Group, Inc.'s assignment and assumption of contractual obligations and consent to assignment under the City's contract with Commercial Energy Specialists, LLC in accordance with the attached Assignment and Assumption to ensure the City continues to have a mechanism to procure Pulsar Brand Chlorine Briquettes, on an as needed basis.
