Broward County Supervisor of Elections Joe Scott requires municipalities to adopt an agreement in order to conduct municipal elections that are held concurrently with county, state and federal elections. The attached agreement permits the Supervisor to conduct a municipal election on behalf of the City of Sunrise on November 3, 2026, in accordance with the State of Florida Election Code and the Local Election Law.

For the upcoming election cycle, there is no cost associated with conducting the election unless there is a ballot question, which would incur significant costs that are based on the number of registered Sunrise voters as follows:

Estimated cost with extra ballot page(s) for one or more ballot questions based on 58,976 registered voters:
$2.79 per registered voter, base fee of $164,543.04; and,
$0.15 per registered voter for each additional page, an additional $8,846.40 per page.

At this time, there are no ballot questions proposed.  Approval of the agreement is recommended.
