The City of Sunrise Fire Rescue Department requires a qualified contractor to provide fire rescue uniforms and accessories, on an as needed basis for the City of Sunrise Fire Rescue Department.

The City of Lauderhill advertised RFP 2023-002 for Fire/Rescue and Police Officer Uniforms and entered into the contract effective February 21, 2023 for the purchase of uniforms, hemming and alteration services and has granted the City of Sunrise permission to utilize this contract in accordance with the pricing, terms and conditions specified therein, including all amendments and renewals.   

In Unison is a Sunrise business and is located in close proximity to the Public Safety Complex, which eliminates extended driving time for any required alterations, repairs or or uniform customizations.  In Unison stocks a robust inventory to successfully provide all required uniforms and accessories in an expedited manner.  They also have a fully automated system to provide door-to-door deliveries with no additional charges for patches, embroidery or alterations. The Fire Rescue Department has been utilizing this vendor and has been satisfied with the quality of the products and  the services being provided. 

Permission is requested to enter into Piggyback Agreement 25-19-09-WL with In Unison Apparel, LLC for Fire Rescur uniforms to ensure Staff has a method to procure on an as-needed basis.

Because these purchases will be made using an existing governmental contract, it is requested that the City Commission waive the City's formal bidding procedures pursuant to Section5-173(c)(4) of the Code of the City of Sunrise, Florida.
