| Background:
On September 9, 2025, Officer Kirkland was the first responder to arrive at the scene of a serious motor vehicle accident involving an overturned dump truck. The driver was pinned inside the vehicle and had sustained a traumatic leg injury. Officer Kirkland's swift action very likely prevented the driver from succumbing to his injuries at the scene. |
