Background:

The Fire Chief has reviewed the nomination for Firefighter of the Month and determined that Captain Pavel Karasek, Rescue Lieutenant Thomas Gaylord, Firefighter-Paramedics Mark Mullen and Daniel Osa should receive the Firefighter of the Month Award for the month for September 2025.

 

They are being recognized as Firefighters of the Month for their efforts on a cardiac arrest call. The crews quick thinking and efficient response led to a greater chance of survival for the patient. The winning nomination is attached.
