Background:
On Saturday, October 18, 2025 the City held its ninth annual Halloween-themed Trick or Trot 5K and Kids' Dash! The race was held on the Sunrise Civic Center Municipal Campus with 710 individual runners, walkers and families of all ages, skill levels and abilities participating in the event.
We will be recognizing the 5K top Male and top Female Finishers.

The event announcement noted that proceeds would, in part, benefit the Paralyzed Veterans of America Florida Chapter (serving all of South Florida), a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization whose mission is to improve the lives of Veterans with a spinal cord injury or dysfunction (SCI/D) and other persons with disabilities to achieve maximum health, productivity, and self-esteem in their daily lives. Supporting the paralyzed Veterans of America Florida Chapter Inc. is a municipal public purpose because it improves the lives of Veterans with disabilities living within the Sunrise community.
