This year's Halloween-themed Trick or Trot 5K and Kids' Dash walk/run will be held on the City of Sunrise Municipal Campus beginning at the Sunrise Civic Center on Saturday, October 18, 2025. The registration includes a special Trick or Trot t-shirt and a commemorative finisher medal. In the spirit of fun, participants are encouraged to dress in costume and post pictures on social media.  

Since it's inception in 2017, the Sunrise Trick or Trot 5K event was intended to benefit the Paralyzed Veterans of America Florida Chapter (serving all of South Florida, including Sunrise), a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization.  Their mission is to improve the lives of veterans with a spinal cord injury or dysfunction (SCI/D) and other persons with disabilities to achieve maximum health, productivity, and self-esteem in their daily lives.

Staff is requesting approval to provide a donation to the Paralyzed Veterans of America, Florida Chapter, in the amount of $1,000.00.
