Excerpt from Employment Contract:

Section 5.5: Compensation and Performance Review. In any given year in which the Employee receives a favorable annual review pursuant to the conditions of Section 7, and approved by a majority vote of the City Commission, the Employee shall be eligible to receive an annual merit increase beginning one (1) year after this Agreement is executed by both parties. Section 7.1: Performance Evaluation. The City Commission shall review and evaluate the performance of the Employee at least once annually. Said review and evaluation shall be in accordance with any specific criteria developed jointly by the City Commission and Employee. Said criteria may be added to or deleted from as the City Commission may from time to time determine in consultation with the Employee.
