| Background:
The Unsafe Structures Board hears and determines appeals regarding actions and decisions of the building official; hears and reviews the application of the building official for review of his or her action where his or her decision, as indicated in a notice of violation, has not been complied with; affirms, modifies or reverses the decisions of the building official upon appeal or on application for review; through its secretary, transmits the record with all exhibits, instruments, papers, and transcripts of its proceedings to the court in the event of an appeal; hears and determines appeals from actions and decisions of the building official and building department pursuant to the provisions of the applicable minimum housing code; and all other duties and powers provided for in the Florida Building Code, and Florida Building Code Broward Edition, as amended from time to time.
The board currently has a vacancy for a real estate property manager. The remainder of the three-year term for this appointment ends December 31, 2021. One application was received for this discipline.
