The Police Department needs to upgrade existing specialized radio equipment. The Harris and SRT equipment is the only equipment that is compatible with existing technology used in the Police Department and in other local agencies. The original equipment was purchased and approved on Reso 08-143. Because this equipment has to be compatible with the existing equipment, the bidding proceedure is waived for good cause. |
